Employee Benefits Services
DCMO BOCES provides services related to the administration of the following employee benefits: health insurance coordination, an employee assistance program (EAP), Section 125 cafeteria plans, and unemployment insurance.
Health Insurance Coordination
This service is for districts seeking assistance with health insurance administrations, providing:
Preparation and maintenance of COBRA notices
Monthly reconciliation of district premium bills
Claim assistance and consultations to plan participants
Account management services for Medicare Part D subsidies
Direct assistance to districts’ employees and retirees on their health insurance questions.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
This is a referral service for employees (and/or their family members) that are in need of assistance. The EAP offers free, voluntary, confidential consultation and assistance to help employees and their family members resolve difficulties that may be affecting their personal lives and/or job performance. The EAP also provides information on a variety of wellness topics and holds workshops in various locations throughout the school year.
Section 125 Cafeterial Plan
Provides full administration of all aspects of flexible spending accounts under Internal Revenue Code Section 125.
Unemployment Insurance Coordination
DCMO partners with an outside agency to provide human resources consulting and unemployment cost control services.
